Celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Merritt Parkway, Laurie Heiss and Jill Smyth, authors of the book, THE MERRITT PARKWAY: THE ROAD THAT SHAPED A REGION, will relate the history of the Parkway’s conception and design, the politics and activists involved, and ultimately the transformation of Fairfield County from a land of farms and country estates to one of the wealthiest counties in the nation.
