Summer Reading Club for Kids
SUMMER READING HAS ENDED. YOU MAY CONTINUE TO PICK UP PRIZES THROUGH AUGUST 12th (WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!).
Summer is here– and that means it’s time to sign up for Perrot’s summer reading club for kids! You can participate (and win prizes for reading!) Monday, June 27th through Friday, August 1st. The Summer Reading theme this year is READ BEYOND THE BEATEN PATH!
This year, we will offering in-person sign-ups only. Stop by the Youth Services Department and sign up at the Summer Reading table! Once you’ve read two books, you get a neon lanyard compass. After you’ve read your fourth book, you get to pick out a FREE BOOK! After you’ve read your sixth book, you get a certificate for a free cookie at Sweet Pea’s Baking Company in Old Greenwich!
Parents, your child who is not yet reading independently can also participate in Summer Reading! Pick up a Read-to-Me sheet, and get a sticker each time you read a book to your child. Once you have logged 20 books read to your child, you can pick out a free picture book to keep!

Summer Reading Challenge + Raffle
OUR SUMMER READING CHALLENGE DRAWING WILL TAKE PLACE THE WEEK OF 8/1! WINNERS WILL BE CONTACTED BY PHONE.
Pick up our Summer Reading brochure to participate in our Summer Reading Challenge! We have suggested a number of summer activities you can do in different categories. Earn a sticker badge for each category you complete! The categories are Explorer, Reader, Crafter, Nature, Adventure, Animals, Fitness, and Social. We have suggested some activities in the brochure, but you can create your own as well! Ask at the Summer Reading table for your stickers. Once you have earned all eight badges, you will be entered into a raffle to win one of four prize baskets. Each prize basket will contain s’mores fixins, outdoor toys, and books!
P.S. You can earn ANOTHER raffle entry by reading 20 books or more for Summer Reading! Don’t forget to ask for your raffle entries at the Summer Reading table.

Although specific titles are listed and access is provided, students may choose any book that has been suggested by a public librarian, school media specialist, or teacher.
