Living with Serenity: A Realistic Approach to the KonMari Method

We’re excited to welcome Karin Socci, the first certified Master KonMari Consultant in the
world, on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 7 pm in the Youth Services Department, Perrot Memorial Library, for a presentation on the KonMari Method of home organization.

Karin is also a certified member of NAPO, the National Organization of Professional Organizers. She is on the Board of NAPO New York, serving as the Director of Professional Development and Programming. In addition, Karin is co-host of the Spark Joy Podcast and is currently working on a book about breaking the cycle of stress and disorganization while becoming more intentional about the things that we bring into our lives–including relationships–and getting rid of everything that stands in the way of our best life going forward.

Karin learned the importance of an organized life as a child from her ridiculously organized parents and grandparents. She started her professional life as a clinical psychotherapist and helped hundreds of patients and their families break through disruptive behaviors and learn how to resolve conflicts so that they could find a healthier approach to the challenges of day-to-day life.

After studying under Marie Kondo of KonMari, Inc., she founded The Serene Home with the intention of helping others create a life that is more relaxed, productive and contented.

Karin has an MA from the University of Kansas, her home state, and an MBA from
Fordham University.
