How to Promote Your Book, with Author Jan Yager

Calling all authors. Perrot Memorial Library and Greenwich Pen Women invite you to a book discussion with Jan Yager, author of How to Promote Your Book, on Monday, February 26, at 6 pm, in the Program Room, Radcliffe Children’s Library, Perrot Memorial Library.

How to Promote Your Book covers the nuts and bolts of book publicity. The book covers everything from social media and book signings at libraries, associations, or bookstores, to radio and podcast interviews, TV or cable interviews, sending out review copies, bloggers, how to create a winning media kit, getting interviewed by newspapers, magazines, or online publications, author tours, hiring a publicist, and much more.

Jan Yager, Ph.D. is the award-winning author of 60+ nonfiction and fiction books, translated into 35 languages, beginning with her first nonfiction book, The Vegetable Passion: A History of the Vegetarian State of Mind, published by Scribner when she was 27. Jan started her publishing career working at Macmillan, followed by Grove Press where she did publicity, acquisitions, foreign rights, and marketing. Jan has had her books published by major houses, including Simon & Schuster, Doubleday, and Penguin Random House, as well as independent houses such as Square One.
