In-Person and Virtual GPW/PML Book Discussion & Signing: “Extraordinary Revelations to Ordinary People,” by Lee Paine
May 10 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Greenwich Pen Women and Perrot Memorial Library invite you to a hybrid book discussion and signing of Extraordinary Revelations to Ordinary People, by Lee Paine, on Wednesday, May 10, at 7 pm in the Youth Services Program Room of the Radcliffe Children’s Library. (This program will also be available live on Zoom. Registration link, below.)
Extraordinary Revelations to Ordinary People features the interviews/testimonies of 25 people, including Lee, who have had “extraordinary revelations,” defined for the purposes of the book as “experiences that come to you from outside of yourself, sear themselves into your soul, and often have a personal message for you.”
This is not a book about religion, but about these kinds of revelation experiences that are most often kept secret by those who have them, for fear of what others will think. The experiences include personal encounters with saints, deities, family who have passed on, near-death and after-death experiences, as well as souls departing, glimpses of Heaven, and visible forms of evil. Lee’s mission with the book is to lift this topic up into the light, to normalize the discussion of it, and to help those who have had these experiences begin to accept and even share their experiences with trusted others.
Ms. Paine is the immediate past president of the Greenwich Pen Women and is well known locally as both a professional photographer and photography judge, as well as a long-term columnist for the Greenwich Time and Greenwich Citizen.
Greenwich Pen Women, a branch of the National League of American Pen Women, is a nonprofit organization of local women artists, writers, and musicians. Find out more at greenwichpenwomen.org.
