Clean & Green Alternatives for Garden Care

Join us at 7 pm on Wednesday, May 17, for “Clean & Green Alternatives for Garden Care,” a research presentation by Quiet Yards Greenwich. The program will take place in the Youth Services Program Room, Radcliffe Children’s Library, Perrot Memorial Library.

Quiet Yards Greenwich is a committee representing a broad consortium of community stakeholders: Greenwich residents, business owners, parents, school PTA members,  realtors, neighborhood associations,  RTM members, Conservation Commission members, Sustainability Committee members, former and current commercial landscapers, board members of the Land Trust, Tree Conservancy, League of Women Voters, and commercial garden professionals. The committee seeks to respond to the concerns and complaints of residents about excessive gas-powered leaf blowing and its impacts on the quality of life in Greenwich. The committee’s mission is to explore new ways to balance our health, environment, and quality of life with the latest landscaping techniques and options.
