In-Person & Virtual Event: “The President’s Man,” with Author Dwight Chapin

As this year marks the 50th anniversary of Watergate, Perrot library is honored to host local resident Dwight Chapin for a discussion and book signing of his memoir, The President’s Man, on Wednesday, June 22, at 7pm.  This is now a hybrid event that is both in-person at the Library and available virtually via Zoom. Dwight Chapin served as personal aide and then deputy assistant to President Richard Nixon with responsibility for the planning and execution of the President’s schedule and appearances. He served as acting Chief of Protocol for the President’s 1972 historic trip to China. After his time in the White House, Chapin was publisher of Success Magazine, then managing director Asia, for Hill and Knowlton Public Relations. For the last twenty-five years he has managed his own consulting firm focused on communications and strategic planning. He lives in Riverside, Conn., with his wife, Terry. The President’s Man is his first book.
