Join us for a fall watercolor workshop, “The Decorated Bird,” with Hazel Jarvis on Thursday, October 28, 1-3 pm in our Program Room, Radcliffe Building, Perrot Memorial Library.
While primarily a watercolor workshop, this program will include an option to add additional collage details. The finished design could be fairly simple, or it could be slightly more complicated, with a series of small birds. Both designs are very festive and lend themselves to multiple interpretations.
All students should wear old clothes and bring a pair of scissors.
Ms. Jarvis received a BA in History and Theory of Art from Sussex University in England. Upon moving to the United States, she studied botanical illustration in New York and, during a five-year residency in Tokyo in the 1990s, studied traditional Japanese painting.
Ms. Jarvis lives and teaches in Greenwich, Connecticut. For more information, visit her web site, and for an up-to-date view of her artwork, follow her on instagram @hazeljarvisstudio.
