Shakespeare on the Sound Presents a Preview of Their 2024 Production of “Romeo and Juliet”

We are thrilled to welcome Nick Urda and John Love of Shakespeare on the Sound for a preview of their Summer 2024 production of Romeo and Juliet on Monday, May 20, at 7 pm in the Program Room, Radcliffe Building, Perrot Memorial Library. This program is for teens and adults.

Shakespeare on the Sound Education Director and Macbeth/Christmas Carol actor Nick Urda and board member/Shakespeare teacher John Love will guide you through Romeo and Juliet and, in an interactive presentation, hope to show you why Juliet and Romeo might be a more fitting title for the play. They’ll also have you asking: Were they really in love?

Nick Urda has been with Shakespeare on the Sound since 2012 as an actor, teaching artist and director. He is beyond excited to be stepping into the role of Associate Artistic Director.

John Love earned a Ph.D. in English literature at the University of North Carolina and taught English in independent schools for over 40 years.  Romeo and Juliet is one of a dozen plays by Shakespeare that he has taught in his career. John has been on the board of Shakespeare on the Sound for 5 years, including 4 years as board president.

This program comes to Perrot Memorial Library just in time for Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare on the Sound’s 28th annual summer production, in Rowayton’s Pinkney Park (June 12th through the 30th).  For more information on the summer production, visit  Shakespeare on the Sound.
