Please join us on Wednesday, November 13, at 7 pm for a concert by The Yale Alley Cats, an a cappella group. The concert will be held on the “green” (the green carpeted center of our Youth Services Department), Radcliffe Building, Perrot Memorial Library.
The Yale Alley Cats, founded all the way back in 1943, are Yale’s classiest, most upbeat, and on-point a cappella group. Though we started out as a jazz group and continue to sing many American jazz classics, our repertoire has expanded over the decades to include pop hits, Motown, and many other genres as well. Our diverse selection, combined with our engaging performance style and musicianship, enables us to entertain all sorts of audiences, from students of all ages to world leaders and celebrities. In recent years, we have sung to President Barack Obama, her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and the United Nations. The Yale Alley Cats have also had the privilege of traveling to all corners of the globe. This year, we had the opportunity to visit members’ hometowns in Chicago, San Diego, and Beijing, in addition to tours in Hawai’i, Switzerland, and South Africa. We also recorded 6 tracks for our upcoming studio album.
