Celebrate Black History Month with a Presentation by Jeffrey A. Fletcher, President, The African American Collections, Inc.

February 7 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

In honor of Black History Month, we’ve invited Jeffrey A. Fletcher, president, The African American Collections, Inc., and executive director, The Ruby and Calvin Fletcher African American History Museum, to give a presentation on African American History on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 7 pm in the Program Room, Radcliffe Children’s Library, Perrot Memorial Library.

Born and raised in Connecticut, Jeffrey grew up in Colchester, and is a graduate of The University of New Haven with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Upon graduation he worked as a clinician for The State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health for 14 years before becoming a Law Enforcement Officer in the City of New Haven, retiring after 22 years. Jeffrey currently resides in Branford.

The Ruby and Calvin Fletcher African American History Museum, located in Stratford, Conn., was developed primarily to educate, but more importantly, to afford everyone an opportunity to see historical and cultural artifacts up close and personal.

“The key to the future is understanding the past.” – Jeffrey Fletcher

“I can show you better than I can tell you.” – Ruby Fletcher
