Book Talk: “100 Things to Do in Connecticut Before You Die,” by Anastasia Mills Healy

Local Author Anastasia Mills Healy will discuss her latest book, 100 Things to Do in Connecticut Before You Die, on Wednesday, March 6, at 7 pm in the Program Room, Radcliffe Children’s Library, Perrot Memorial Library.

Did you know that in Connecticut you can encounter 50 life-size dinosaurs, float over farmland in a hot air balloon, admire stunning private gardens, and take a sightseeing cruise through a picturesque archipelago? Instead of scrolling through pages of search results, the new book 100 Things to Do in Connecticut Before You Die provides a curated list of the best of the best of the state in the categories of Food & Drink, Arts & Culture, Music & Entertainment, Sports & Recreation, and Shopping & Fashion.

With glittering casinos, amusement parks, destination-worthy architecture, and museums showcasing everything from American art to World War II aircraft, Connecticut packs a big punch for a small state. Whether you’re a jazz fan or a history buff, baseball lover or antiques hunter, you’ll find plenty of ideas in the book to keep you and your guests busy.

A former editor at Condé Nast Traveler, Fodor’s, and Travel Agent, Anastasia Mills Healy is a Greenwich-based writer and editor who has written about Connecticut for Time Out, Lonely Planet, and Business Insider. She’s also the author of the well-reviewed book Secret Connecticut: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure.

Copies of Ms. Healy’s book are available from Athena Books.
