We are pleased to welcome Eileen Flood O’Connor, author of Eating Pizza Backwards, and Other Adventures, on Sunday, April 26, at 3 pm. Ms. Flood O’Connor will be interviewed by Ms. Afton Fraser. The discussion will take place in our Program Room, Radcliffe Children’s Library, Perrot Memorial Library.
Eileen Flood O’Connor, whose oldest child has an autism spectrum disorder, has penned an anthology of essays that detail the many ways her daughter has given her family a new outlook on everything from grocery shopping to grieving a grandparent – or beloved service dog. O’Connor brings honesty, humor and deep wells of gratitude to her stories about raising a special needs child alongside three younger brothers.
Afton Fraser, born and raised in New York, is a former actress who has appeared in films and television. She developed a love for classic movies at a young age, which led to the publication of her first book, Hollywood Picks the Classics. Her second book, Point to Happy, was a collaboration with her mother and sister for kids on the autism spectrum.
Afton resides in Greenwich, Conn., where she is a realtor with Sotheby’s International Realty. She is the proud mom of her three sons, Griffin (23), Holden (21), and Leland (19).
