Author Anne Semmes will discuss her latest book, Extraordinary Lives of Greenwich — Profiles over Decades, on Wednesday, April 15, at 6 pm, in our Program Room, Radcliffe Building, Perrot Memorial Library. Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing.
Writer/editor Anne W. Semmes’s new book, Extraordinary Lives of Greenwich – Profiles Over Decades features 100 profiles she has written for Greenwich newspapers and magazines. The book, arranged by categories, has its profiles listed alphabetically from Art to Sporting Life. Those profiles feature color photos, rarely seen in a paperback.
Anne W. Semmes has been a writer-columnist-editor for over 40 years with features/profiles in national, regional, and local newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Greenwich Time, Greenwich Citizen, and having served as first editor of the Greenwich Post newspaper. She is an ongoing feature writer/columnist/editor for the Greenwich Sentinel newspaper. Her magazine writing has included TIME, Greenwich Magazine, Natural History, Living Bird, E-Environmental Journal, Travel World News, and INK. She has written and produced for the NBC TV Today Show, A&E History and Biography Television Networks, and Connecticut Public Television.
