The Environmental Book Group will meet on Monday, July 27, at 7 pm in our Program Room, Radcliffe Building, for a discussion of How to Love a Forest, by Ethan Tapper. Copies of the book are available for checkout at our Circulation Desk or may be reserved through our online catalog. The discussion will be led by Rebecca Poirier, environmental analyst, Conservation Department, Town of Greenwich. This program is cosponsored by Perrot Memorial Library and the Conservation Department.
How to Love a Forest is a tender and fearless reimagining of what it means to care for forests, ecosystems, and each other in a changed and changing world. In this bracing, clear-eyed, yet hopeful work, forester Ethan Tapper asks: “How do we use our incredible power to heal rather than to harm? What does it mean to truly love a forest?”
