Perrot Memorial Library welcomes Riverside resident and Author Christine Barker for a discussion of her debut novel, Third Girl From the Left: A Memoir, on Wednesday, March 29, at 7 pm in the Youth Services Program Room of the Radcliffe Children’s Library.
Christine Barker was one of the downtown success stories from the creative mecca during the late ’70s, New York City: an aspiring dancer, she left behind a large traditional military family and made it quickly to Broadway. Now, in the memoir THIRD GIRL FROM THE LEFT, she recalls her time in the heart of the city’s creative scene—a compelling, haunting meditation on artistry, self-discovery, and the American dream at the time of the AIDS crisis.
