Garden lovers will certainly enjoy the new book, Private Gardens of Connecticut, by Jane Garmey; with photographs by John M. Hall. The many towns depicted show a real variety of garden types. These are private, as the name suggests, yet several are part of the Garden Conservancy’s popular Open Days program and accept visitors a few times per year. While we await an invitation to visit at these homes, we can just enjoy this book and look at the terrific photographs.
