Summer Reading

Summer Reading Program for Kids

Summer is here– and that means it’s time to sign up for Perrot’s summer reading program for kids! You can participate (and win prizes for reading!) from Monday, June 23rd through Friday, August 1st. The Summer Reading theme for 2025 is LEVEL UP AT YOUR LIBRARY. Our program is for kids ages 3 through 14.

Our summer reading program is in-person only. Stop by the Youth Services Wing and sign up at the Summer Reading table, which is staffed by our friendly teen volunteers. You can read on your own, be read to, or listen to an audiobook! Once you’ve read two books, you get to choose an item from our Treasure Chest– contents may differ from the items pictured below! 😉 . After you’ve read your fourth book, you get to pick out a FREE BOOK of your choice. And after you’ve read your seventh book, you get a certificate for a free mini milkshake from Garden Catering of Old Greenwich!

Parents, babies and toddlers ages 0-2 can also participate in Summer Reading! After you have read 10 books to your child, they earn a free book. Please ask at the Youth Services Desk to sign up for our Read to Me Program.
