Program Descriptions
BABY STORYTIME
Winter/Spring 2026 Offerings:

For Ages: 0 to 15 months. Children attend with an adult caregiver.
Registration: DROP-IN, Limited to the first 25 children and their caregivers to arrive.
Duration: 30 minutes
Description: Join Miss Jen for stories and songs for babies, followed by 30 minutes of open playtime.
TODDLER STORYTIME- DROP-IN

For Ages: 15 months-48 months. Children attend with an adult caregiver.
Registration: DROP-IN, Limited to the first 20 children and their caregivers to arrive. 10 and 10:45 AM programs repeat.

Registration: Registration required– limited to the first 10 children to sign up. Registration opens via our event calendar at 6 PM the day before each program. 10 and 11 AM programs repeat.

Description: Enjoy stories and hands-on activities in this special storytime.
PRE-K STORYTIME
Winter/Spring 2026 Offerings:

For Ages: 4- and 5-year-olds. Children attend with an adult caregiver.
Registration: Registration required– Limited to the first 15 children to sign up. Registration opens via our event calendar 1 week before each program.
Duration: 30 minutes
Description: Join us for a lively program of stories, movement, songs, and hands-on play!
SING WITH ME
Winter/Spring 2026 Offerings:
* Thursdays at 4:15 PM on 1/29, 2/5, 2/19, 3/5, 3/26, 4/16, and 5/7
For Ages: Families with children of all ages. Children attend with an adult caregiver
Registration: Registration opens at 6 PM on the Monday prior to each program. There is a limit of 4 tickets per family (each adult and child attending must be registered). Maximum of 60 attendees.
Duration: 30 minutes
Description: An energetic family sing-along program with live music, featuring music teacher and guitarist Mr. Jim.
READ TO A DOG
Winter/Spring 2026 Offerings:
* TBA
For Ages: All ages. (Younger children should have their adult nearby)
Registration: DROP-IN. No pre-registration required, but you may need to wait your turn until a dog is available. Please arrive between 3:45 and 4:30.
Duration: 1 hour
Description: Build your confidence by reading out loud to a friendly dog. All dogs are trained therapy dogs and great listeners! Participants may pick whatever they would like to read for the program, although library staff are always available for suggestions.
STEAM WEAVERS & STEAM WEAVERS JR.
Winter/Spring 2026 Offerings:
* Tuesdays at 4 PM on 3/27 and 3/20 (Jr.)
For Ages: 8-12 and 5-7 (Jr.)
Registration: Registration strongly encouraged- sign up online via our event calendar. Please note– you must register separately for each meeting date
Duration: 1 hour
Description: Learn it, make it, test it! Become a STEAM Weaver by exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Design cool creations, then take on fun challenges to see whose ideas can go the distance! On 3/27, use LEGO bricks and advanced techniques to engineer a working zip line flyer, and keep the LEGO you use (for ages 8-12)! On 3/20, Use LEGO bricks to engineer a working zip line flyer, and keep the LEGO you use (for ages 5-7)!
CRAFTING CONNECTIONS
Winter/Spring 2026 Offerings:
* Wednesdays at 4 PM on 1/28, 3/18, and 4/22
For Ages: 9-12. Kids age 5-8 may also attend, but must be accompanied by an adult helper.

Duration: 1 hour
Description: Give back to the community by hand-making items to donate to charitable organizations. We will sign off on volunteer time for you if needed! On 1/28, we will be making Valentine’s Day and Spring themed card for Card for Hospitalized Kids. On 3/18, we will be making cat wands for PAWS. On 4/22, we will be making water globes for Meals on Wheels recipients.
CREATIVE VENTURES
Winter/Spring 2026 Offerings:
* Fridays at 4 PM, on 1/23, 2/20, 3/13, and 4/24
For Ages: 7-13
Registration: Registration strongly encouraged. Sign up online via our event calendar. Please note– you must register separately for each meeting date
Duration: 1 hour
Description: Stretch your artistic imagination using an array of mediums, skills, and techniques, to make art, functional items, decor, and DIY projects. On 1/23, we will be making wax seal magnets and stickers. On 2/20, we will be making DIY labyrinth travel games. On 3/13, we will be making beaded snake rings. On 4/24, we will be making 3D matchbox art.
GAME HUB
Winter/Spring 2026 Offerings:

For Ages: 7-13

Duration: 1 hour
Description: Enjoy a growing selection of games at the library. From classic games to modern ones, to team challenges and everything in between, get ready to bring your A-Game! Attendees may bring their own board games from home as well.
BITE CLUB
Winter/Spring 2026 Offerings:
* Fridays at 4 PM on 2/6, 3/6, and 4/17
For Ages: 7-13

Duration: 1 hour
Description: In Bite Club, you’ll learn food science and cool food hacks, make tasty creations, and take on edible challenges that test your imagination (and your taste buds). On 2/6, we will be making edible flower arrangements. On 3/6, we will be making DIY ice cream. On 4/17, we will be making delicious edible terrariums.
ESCAPE ROOMS
Winter/Spring 2026 Offerings:
* Fridays at 4 PM on 2/27 and 5/1
For Ages: 8-13
Registration: Registration REQUIRED. Sign up online via our event calendar. Please note– you must register separately for each meeting date. PLEASE ARRIVE PROMPTLY- LATECOMERS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED.
Duration: 1 hour
Description: Put your minds to the test! Follow clues, solve puzzles, and escape; it’s the only way out (not really!). Solve the room and win a prize! On 2/27, Escape the Lock-in at Dinosaur State Park (registration opens on 1/27). On 5/1, Escape the Hall of Lost Legends (registration opens on 4/1).
DEBATE CLUB
Winter/Spring 2026 Offerings:
* Tuesdays at 4 PM, 1/20 through 4/28. No programs on 2/10 or 4/7
For Ages: 9-13
Registration: Registration strongly encouraged- sign up online via our event calendar. Sign-up is for the entire Winter/Spring session– you will automatically be enrolled in all meeting dates
Duration: 1 hour
Description: Flex your critical thinking skills by participating in debates about fun topics. Winners will receive prizes, and all participants will have first dibs on future debate topics!
YOUNG CRITICS’ CLUB (YCC)
Winter/Spring 2026 Meeting Dates:
* Wednesdays at 4 PM on 2/4, 2/25, 3/11, 3/25, 4/15, 4/29, and 5/13
For Ages: Kids in Grades 6, 7, and 8
Registration: BY SPECIAL APPLICATION ONLY. The club is now FULL for the 2025-2026 school year. Watch for applications for the 2026-2027 school year in May 2026.
Duration: 75 minutes
Description: At each meeting, Young Critics get to know each other better with a book-themed game, then grab a snack and discuss their recent reads. Ms. Jen and Mrs. Woodward booktalk a new book and share their new finds with the group. Young Critics get first dibs on these selections and rate and report back at the next meeting with their thoughts.

REGISTERED TODDLER STORYTIME, SENSORY STORYTIME, PRE-K STORYTIME, SING WITH ME, DEBATE CLUB, BITE CLUB, STEAM WEAVERS, CRAFTING CONNECTIONS, CREATIVE VENTURES, GAME HUB, AND ESCAPE ROOMS

- Children must be the correct age for the program they are being registered for. Please check carefully!
- For registered Toddler Storytime, registration will open at 6 PM the day before each program
- For Sensory Storytime, registration will open at 6 PM the day before each program
- For Pre-K Storytime, registration will open the Thursday before each program (1 week before)
- For Sing With Me, registration opens at 6 PM on the Monday before each program. Tickets are limited to 4 per family. You must reserve a ticket for each attendee (both adults and children)
- For Debate Club, you will automatically be registered for all dates during the Winter/Spring session. It is not necessary to sign up for each date individually
- For Crafting Connections, Game Hub, Creative Ventures, Bite Club, Steam Weavers, and Escape Rooms, please note that you must register separately for each meeting date
