Our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service is here to give you access to library materials that the Greenwich Library system does not own. We can request material from public and academic libraries across the United States. Our ILL service is free, but you must have a valid library card from Perrot Library or Greenwich Library in order to use this service. Please verify that the item is not available through Perrot or Greenwich Library before making an ILL request.
What is available through Interlibrary Loan?
- Books
- DVDs and CDs
- Photocopies of newspaper, magazine, or journal articles
- Photocopies of specific pages of non-circulating or reference material (e.g., local history or genealogy). The more specific the request, the higher the chance of success
- Musical scores
What is not available through Interlibrary Loan?
- New material that is less than six months old
- Downloadable material
- Seasonal material
Interlibrary loan requests will be filled as quickly as possible. Turnaround time will vary depending on the lending library. We will lend items for 3 weeks. Renewals are determined by the lending library. We can generally accommodate one 3-week renewal. The overdue fee for ILLs is $1/day. ILLs must be returned to Perrot, not to any other library.
To request an item for Interlibrary Loan, please complete this form; fill out a white General Request Card, which is available at our Circulation Desk; or contact our ILL specialist, Nick Nagurney, by e-mail or phone::
