Adult and Teen Summer Reading 2026 launches today, Wednesday, June 24th! The theme this year is “Plant a Seed, READ!” We invite you to read any genre—fiction, mystery, sci-fi, graphic novel, teen, romance, etc.—in any format—print, audio, digital. Through reading you might just plant a seed for a new idea or perspective on life. The more you read, the more chances you have to win one of our prizes. We hope you’ll join us!
If you haven’t had a chance to check out our Spring 2026 Nancy Altznauer Memorial Seed Library, don’t worry. There is still a wide variety of seeds available. We look forward to seeing you!
Come and participate in the launch of an ambitious and inspiring vision to reimagine the library’s grounds as an all-native landscape that supports pollinators and the larger natural environment of Old Greenwich.
The evening begins at 6 pm with wine and cheese outdoors at the library entrance, followed at 7 pm by a featured conversation with Wendy Lindquist, principal landscape designer at LaurelRock Landscape Architects, whose work is guiding this transformation, and Elise Howard, author “Plant This, Not That.”
