Gardening Workshops for Kids with the Garden Club of Old Greenwich

We are thrilled to welcome back the Garden Club of Old Greenwich for another session of Gardening Workshops for Kids at Perrot!

For kids ages 4 and up. A caregiver must accompany kids ages 4-6 to help them complete the project.

By registration ONLY— please stop by the Youth Services Desk, or call us at 203-637-8802 to sign up your child. You can sign up for as many or as few meeting dates as you want.

9/12: Painted pots: Paint a clay pot and plant it with dwarf sunflower seeds! (Wear old clothes; paint will stain!)

10/10: Allium flower craft: Make a beautiful allium flower out of paper and “plant” it in a pot. Kids will receive their own allium bulb to take home and plant!

11/28: Bird Feeders: Make pine cone bird feeders using sunflower seed butter and bird seed. Hang them up to help feed wild birds as the weather gets cooler. [PLEASE NOTE: The bird seed being used for this project was packaged in a facility that also packages peanuts and tree nuts]
